About me

My name is Laura Finch and I have been a very busy childminder for over 10 years now. 

Last year I came off the childminding register to concentrate on the running of my school holiday club (Bilsborrow Holiday Club).I wanted to reinstate my registration as a childminder because I missed it far too much.  


I live in Garstang with my husband Rick, my 3 children James 17, Lucy 11 and Lilia 3. We also have a beautiful 11 month old Golden Retriever named Molly, Norman our guinea pig and Truffles and Bakewell our African pigmy dormice.

We have a dedicated playroom for the children which they can access a wii, films, games, books, craft stuff, couch for chilling, jigsaws, lego for older children ( eg, star wars) and lots lots more. 

We have a well secured back garden with a large trampoline, mud kitchen, children's play house, sand pit and a mini garden for the children to plant and grow their own plants including herbs and flowers plus more.


I attend toddler groups 2-3 times per week and we also go on mini trips out. These will include places such as the zoo, sea life Centre, play centres, parks and dog walks etc.


I will be doing school runs to and from St Thomas' primary school Garstang.



I will be looking forward to meeting you and welcoming your little one into our fun, loving and caring home.

My Main qualifications

I hold a City and Guilds level 3 Diploma in Play Work and have lots of experience working with children. Prior to my childminding years I worked in a nursery and helped out at my children's schools. 

I also hold an up to date Paediatric First Aid certificate, level 1 and 2 Safegaurding, food hygiene and Allergens certificate.

I am constantly updating my qualifications and always attend new courses when they become available.

Snacks 

I offer a healthy breakfast and snacks all throughout the day.
